Sydney Biennale
The 17th Biennale of Sydney comes to town from 12 May to 1 August.
Held every two years, this festival has grown into Australia’s largest and most exciting international contemporary visual arts extravaganza.
Art exhibitions, tours, talks, film screenings and special events are just a few of the innovative offerings, with a strong focus on showcasing Australia’s cultural and ethnic diversity, as well as contemporary art from Asia Pacific.
Events take place at venues and sites around Sydney Harbour, including Cockatoo Island, the Opera House, Museum of Contemporary Art, and Botanic Gardens, showcases internationals. Best of all, most of them are free.
