Bonfire Night - London, England

Fireworks in London
Fireworks in London

Remember, remember the fifth of November, Gunpowder treason and plot.

Celebrate Guy Fawkes Night with massive bonfire and fireworks displays at venues across London and the UK.

Guy Fawkes may not have succeeded in blowing up the Houses of Parliament in 1605, but he’s been responsible for a lot of fire and frivolity ever since – so come and celebrate 400 years of the most famous failed explosion in history.

Clapham Common will stage a free fireworks display from 7.30pm on 5 November itself.

There will also be fireworks displays throughout early November in other London locations, including the spectacular fireworks display over the River Thames (between Waterloo and Blackfriars Bridges) on 14 November, to mark the end of the Lord Mayor's Show.

If you’re outside London, find out what the local area is planning – many places have bonfires and celebrations.

YHA has 7 great hostels in the city centre and around the greater London area.

For more information, check out the Guy Fawkes Night Event Listing on Visit London, the city's official website.
